Atlantic Caseworks is hiring experienced custom woodworkers for the Charlotte and Butner plants. The work includes reception desks, planter boxes, ceiling and wall panel systems, custom furniture, and cabinetry in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop.
Schedule
Full-time shop work on a team, in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand construction drawings and shop drawings
- Apply woodworking construction techniques to custom cabinet and millwork products
- Work with hardwoods, veneers, laminates, and plywood
- Use hand tools and power woodworking tools
- Build reception desks, planter boxes, ceiling and wall panel systems, custom furniture, and cabinetry
- Prep and detail product for final finishing
- Plan the sequence of manufacturing steps
- Organize and select panels that meet AWI specifications
Qualifications
- At least 3 years building commercial custom woodwork such as reception desks, planter boxes, panel systems, custom furniture, and cabinetry
- Ability to read architectural drawings and shop drawings
- Working knowledge of powered equipment and power hand tools
- Understanding of veneers, laminates, plywood, and hardwoods
