Join our Engineering team and turn architectural drawings into shop drawings, production-ready designs, and CNC programs for custom commercial casework and architectural millwork. You will use Microvellum, Bluebeam Revu, Cut Rite, and WoodWOP on projects across the greater Charlotte and Raleigh/Durham markets. This is a full-time on-site role.
Full-Time Work Week. Hours are not set in stone, but we do expect effort to flex with workloads increase and decrease.
Prepare production-ready engineering for custom commercial cabinets and architectural millwork, from the architectural set through programs the shop can run.
-Create 2D shop drawings of client millwork from architectural drawings in Microvellum
-Review drawings and markups in Bluebeam Revu
-Check that millwork designs are valid and can be built as drawn
-Optimize designs for efficient, accurate production
-Generate panel saw optimizations in Cut Rite
-Create programs for single-part and nesting-based CNC machines
-Use WoodWOP to set up and manage CNC operations
-Resolve drawing and program questions with project and production teams so work is ready for the shop
REQUIRED
-2 Years AutoCAD experience
-Strong Communication and Organizational Skills
PREFERRED
-Associates or Bachelors Degree
-Experience producing shop drawings for commercial casework or architectural millwork
-Working knowledge of Microvellum
-Ability to read architectural drawings and confirm a design can be built and produced
