Production Supervisor / Scheduler

This role owns the day-to-day production schedule at the Charlotte plant, coordinates priorities with Project Managers, and keeps every project moving through the shop. About 80 percent of the day is on the production floor. The rest is spent maintaining the production scheduling system.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the plant-wide production schedule in the company scheduling software
• Coordinate daily production priorities with Project Managers, Engineering, Purchasing, and Shipping
• Monitor every project in production and identify schedule risks early
• Spend most of each day on the production floor so work stays on schedule
• Supervise production work cells and help team leads meet daily goals
• Resolve bottlenecks and move people and resources to keep production flowing
• Check quality before work moves to the next operation
• Communicate schedule changes and production status to internal teams
• Keep production status and scheduling data accurate
• Lead daily production meetings and share priorities with shop personnel
• Promote a safe, organized, and efficient shop
• Improve workflow, productivity, and on-time delivery

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of commercial millwork production leadership
• AWI technical knowledge preferred
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred
